Amaka appears extensively before judges in the First Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and Upper Tribunal. She is also regularly instructed to appear before the Upper Tribunal on judicial review matters and in appeals to the Court of Appeal.
Committed to all aspects of human rights law, Amaka’s most recent notable cases include Agho v Secretary of state for the Home Department [2015] EWCA Civ 1198 regarding marriages of convenience and Naidu v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2016] EWCA Civ 156 (on the issues of alleged deception and Paragraphs 320(7A) and 320(7B) of the Immigration Rules. Amaka’s other practice areas include criminal appellate cases.
